Stampin Up In Colors™ monochromatic cards with Under the Moon

 

I finally got round to using the new Stampin’ Up!® In Colors™ to make a set of monochromatic cards.

I make no apology for using the new Stampin’ Up!® stamp set Cheerful Daisies again... no doubt this won’t be the last you see of it either!

It’s a really beautiful stamp set, featuring two-step stamps so you can add colour and texture really easily. 

Stampin' Up Bird’s Eye View card ideas – and a fully flexible Colour Club

When I saw the Bird’s Eye View stamp set in the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue, I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist it for long. It’s such a fun and versatile stamp set. Today I want to show you four different cards (ok, two aren’t so different from each other) using this fabulous set. 

Simple stamping with Honey Bee

When you’ve been crafting for many years, it’s easy to forget that not everyone has a room full of supplies to draw on as required. I remember the early days of seeing amazing projects which I hadn’t a hope of emulating because I didn’t have a fraction of the products required.

So it’s good to scale things back now and again and prove that simple projects can be just as striking. Whether you’re new to crafting or just in a hurry, this project is a fun one to make – and it’s so satisfying to produce something in minutes which you know will have a big impact if you send it to a friend.

We don’t currently sell black rhinestones but you can make your own by colouring our basic rhinestones with a permanent black marker such as one of our Stampin’ Blends alcohol marker or a black Sharpie. 

Leave the rhinestone on its backing and colour very gently if using a Stampin’ Blend, to avoid smashing the brush tip. Allow to dry for a few seconds and then use as normal. 

Painted Poppies Week: Monochromatic Poppies

It’s the last day of Painted Poppies Week here at All Things Stampy but I’m sure this won’t be the last you see of this lovely stamp set!

These four fun cards were quick and easy to make – and I love how you can tailor the design to almost any of our lovely colours.

I borrowed the idea from Lynn Dunn, but simplified her design slightly to use Label Me Bold instead of embossing – I really have to be in the mood for embossing!

My colours are Crushed Curry, Gorgeous Grape (but with Highland Heather stamping), Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana. Which one is your favourite?

Some colours will swamp your poppy heads, which is why I used Highland Heather instead of Gorgeous Grape. If you don't have a paler ink, you can stamp off onto scrap paper first, then this will give you a lighter shade.
