Awesomely Artistic with cotton paper flower

Here’s another project made with Awesomely Artistic and this one is (very) loosely based on the catalogue sample, shown below. That’s what happens when you CASE something without the picture in front of you!

This cotton paper will prove a fun addition to your craft stash. It’s soooooo lightweight, it almost floats away, but it holds its shape nicely, so I’m confident this flower will stay put.

I like the Watermelon Wonder (there, I said it!) with the starkness of the black and brightness of Bermuda Bay, and the Candy Dots finish it off nicely.

Lotus Blossom meets Big Day

Two Sale-a-Bration sets combine to make a really simple card that’s so quick and easy to make. I used Calypso Coral for the first two layers of petals, and Crisp Cantaloupe for the largest, background layer. I haven’t yet bothered doubling up on the stem; I like it as it is so it doesn’t seem worth the effort of lining them up.... even though it’s very easy with photopolymer.

In other news, registration for my All-Day Craftathon has now closed and I’m happy to say that it’s fully booked! All I have to do now is complete the projects and place the order.  I’ve been putting some finishing touches to one of the projects today and getting in a bit of a mess with texture paste. But I can’t wait to put it all together and see what the ladies think of this fun (but sticky!) technique.

Calmly Bearing Gifts

It s the Christmas countdown and I only have a couple of cards left to show you. I do have some new samples from the Spring/Summer catty but the pictures I took are even worse than this one! I’d forgotten how difficult it was to get a decent picture when you’re in the darkest part of the year.

While I’m here I’d just like to remind you that I am now taking bookings for TWO events...

Launch Party
At my Launch Party, you’ll get to see samples, demonstrations and enjoy Make & Takes with products from both the new Spring/Summer catalogue and from the forthcoming Sale-a-Bration promotion. These are always relaxed events, with the odd game and, of course, cake and prizes. The cost is £7 (discount for Virtual Hostess Club members) and you can read all about it, and register, HERE.  Please book soon as the event is on 10th January, which isn’t actually that far away! But what better way to start the New Year than with some crafting?

All-Day Craftathon
My All-Day Craftathon is for those of you who like to get your teeth into a project. We’ll be making several exciting projects and playing with some fun techniques. You’ll get a generous kit to use on the day, with leftovers to take home afterwards to continue your crafting. All materials are supplied (please bring your own adhesives and basic craft kit) and brand new products will feature strongly. This event is more than half full already, so please don’t delay booking as I’d hate you to be disappointed. The cost is £30 which I know isn’t something you want to fork out before Christmas, so you can secure your place now with just £5. All details, and booking, are HERE.

You can also read about and book for either of these events using the buttons at the top of this page, or the links in your most recent newsletter. Not on my mailing list? Click the link on this page to join!

And now... remember that polar bear card at the top of the page? Here’s the recipe...

CAS Festival of Trees Christmas

This is my version of a fab card I saw on Pinterest, created by Dutch demonstrator Angélique. I’ve seen other variants, too, but I think Angélique’s came first. One can never be sure in the crafting world!

As always, I adapted the idea to suit the supplies I had, and I’ve combined it with words from Endless Wishes and some cute little Candy Dots.

Nuts About You card for wedding or anniversary

A really simple card that makes a quirky alternative to the traditional engagement/wedding/anniversary card and is also handy for using up tiny scraps of DSP!

Nuts About You is a fun set that you can only get if you host a party (or place a qualifying order). If you’d like to discuss holding a party, please do get in touch as I’d love to show you and your friends some of our fabulous new products. All you have to do is find the friends and lay on a few snacks (coffee and cake is fine, as are crisps and wine – nothing fancy) and I’ll do the rest. Drop me a line to schedule a date!
