Two spring cards made with Garden Meadow Stampin’ Up!® stamp set

Have you seen the Garden Meadow stamps and dies in the Stampin’ Up!® Online Exclusives? This is a really beautiful bundle and perfect for this time of year.

Here in Derbyshire, spring keeps tantalising us then going away again! But that didn’t stop me making two spring-themed projects with the WI ladies the other week.

These ladies love to colour, so I knew the Garden Meadow stamp set would be popular with them.

We used the retired Stamparatus – although a big block would do the same job – to stamp all of these stamps in one go. That saved time and saved anyone having to line them up (that was my job).

The images are coloured using watercolour pencils and blended using a Stampin’ Up!® Blender Pen. Then the white strip was mounted onto some Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

The background paper is Fresh Freesia from the Subtles 6x6" Designer Series Paper pack from Stampin’ Up!®.

And check out that gorgeous greeting at the bottom. This is from a newer Online Exclusive product called Sweetly Scripted, which would make a great addition to anybody’s Stampin’ Up!® stash.

The second Garden Meadow card is a little more complicated but I’d done all the die-cutting for them in advance.

I used the Garden Meadow dies to cut the archways from Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper. This Stampin’ Up!® paper has big daisy patterns on one side and thick painted brushstrokes on the reverse.

In front of this is a grassy patch, die-cut from Old Olive cardstock using Garden Meadow dies.

The wheelbarrow is stamped in black and coloured in using watercolour pencils and blended with a Blender Pen.

The background of the card base is Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper, which has carried over from the September to December Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalogue.

The card is finished off with a simple greeting – this is in the Garden Meadow stamp set – and some gorgeous Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies and Birds.
