Dainty Delight projects – and a spring craft day in Derbyshire

I am really loving the Dainty Delight bundle and Dainty Flowers Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!®.

I often say that I don’t like flower stamps but it’s not really true; I don’t like most flower stamps. The big, blowsy flowers that are so popular with crafters everywhere do nothing for me at all, but I really love delicate wildflowers that remind me of our British countryside. And seed heads – they are a favourite.

This new Stampin’ Up!® Dainty Delight bundle is very much my thing, which is why it will be the subject of my Spring Craft Day here in Derbyshire in March. 

All attendees will receive half a pack of this beautiful Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper in their kit, and there’s the option to include the Dainty Delight stamps or bundle if you wish. It promises to be a lovely relaxing day in a spacious and bright venue, with a buffet lunch too!

I have been busy designing projects for the event using the Stampin’ Up!® Dainty Delight bundle but don’t want to show you those just yet as I know my regular ladies like a surprise. 

But I am happy to share this Triple Time stamping project with you, with measurements so you can make your own (as long as you use A4 cardstock). 

 

This Dainty Delight card is just one of lots of Triple Time cards I’ve made lately, which you can see on my social media. Not everything makes it to the blog, I’m afraid!

 

 

With this technique, you layer all the white cardstock on top of each other (omitting the black) then stamp on top using any set – in this case, Stampin’ Up!® Dainty Delight bundle – all in one go. Any gaps created by the uneven surface are covered by the black (or any colour) mats.

And these Dainty Delight projects – the notebook and bookmark – are from another class I held last week, with a local Women’s Institute group.

I love combining flower images with the Stampin’ Up!® Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder; I think they go really well together. The addition of a few ink splashes always pleases me, too. We used Very Vanilla cardstock for the background to match the pages of the notebook. 

It’s not really the right type of notebook as it’s stitched and not bound but we added a ribbon bookmark anyway, with a little retired metal embellishment to give it some weight.

The word ‘Notes’ comes from the Making Plans stamp set which was available to new demonstrators who joined Stampin’ Up!® during Sale-a-Bration last year.
