Have you seen the new Playing in the Rain stamp set in the Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalogue? It’s very cute and very fun to colour.
It’s part of the Rain or Shine Suite which features some absolutely gorgeous Designer Series Paper, a Raindrops embossing folder and some really cute little Loose Daisy Embellishments.
The Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper is arguably the star of the show here as it features all the cute animals from the stamp set with glossy accents. This means if you don’t want to invest in the stamp set, you don’t have to, as you can cut out the images from the paper and make fabulous cards.
Alternatively, you can recreate the look of the Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper by colouring in images stamped with Playing in the Rain to match, as I have done here.
I particularly wanted to emulate the effect of raindrops which adds interest and depth to the Designer Series Paper so decided to have a play around with my Stampin’ Blends.
I soon discovered that if I used my Color Lifter I could lift dots of colour away to give the impression of raindrops on the umbrella, the coats, and in the puddles. This is very cool, and fun to try too, so why not give it a go?
