Five card ideas using Painted Lavender Stampin' Up!® stamp set

When I learned that the best-selling Stampin’ Up!® stamp set from the Jan-April Mini Catalogue is Painted Lavender, I was not in the slightest surprised. When I used it at my Catalogue Launch Party last month, several people placed orders for it and the coordinating Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.

Painted Lavender is a beautiful stamp set with lots of possibilities. Stamp it in different colours to create the look of other tall flowering plants such as hollyhocks, delphiniums, lupins and more.

For my cards I stuck to traditional lilacs and purples. Take a look at the cards I have been making with this gorgeous stamp set...

The make and take cards at my Catalogue Launch Party were inspired by US Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator Kelli McConkey, who demonstrated the Painted Lavender stamp set at the OnStage event for demonstrators.

I did simplify her projects as I don’t have the coordinating Painted Lavender dies, and we had limited time to play with.

This pretty card shows the stunning Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper. What I love about this paper is the Kraft background which features on many of the designs.

I used a piece of this for the background at the top, and some of the more subtle Shaded Spruce design to ground it at the bottom.

On top of this I stamped three lavender flowers in Highland Heather, starting in the centre, then stamped some additional flowers on top in Gorgeous Grape.

The Pecan Pie Centre Stripe ribbon is from the Meandering Meadows Suite, which is a Stampin’ Up!® Online Exclusive released last year.

The second make and take card involves more stamping, and shows how you can easily build up pretty scenes using the Painted Lavender stamp set.

I stamped the grassy stems in Lost Lagoon, then added tiny flowers in Fresh Freesia, and bolder flowers in Gorgeous Grape.

Butterflies flutter gently across this card, stamped in Fresh Freesia, and the greeting is from Go To Greetings, stamped in Gorgeous Grape.

I had some make and take packs left over from my event, due to illness, so rustled up a batch of thank yous with the pieces. These are two of them.

They show how you can create a wide variety of pretty stamped floral scenes using this versatile stamp set.

We used the Painted Lavender stamp set at January’s WI class, too, with slightly adapted designs. I didn’t have enough Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper left so used some old Fresh Freesia patterned paper which I know they love.

To match the paper, we switched to Granny Apple Green cardstock for the layer, and some Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.
