Two card ideas using Notes of Nature bundle and Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!®

Stampin Up UK Notes of Nature Softly Stippled

Are you raring to craft after the Christmas and New Year break? I hope so because there’s an exciting new range of Stampin’ Up!® products available from Thursday with the launch of the new January-April Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration promotion.

Stampin Up UK Notes of Nature

One of the stand-out products for me in the new Stampin’ Up!® Mini is this Notes of Nature Bundle, which I've used here to create two cards.

I’ve backed each card base with some of the beautiful Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, which is FREE with a £45 order during Stampin’ Up!®’s Sale-a-Bration promotion in January and February. I generally don’t go for soft, subtle colours but Calypso Coral, Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Wild Wheat are some of my favourite Stampin’ Up!® colours.

The first card, for a friend who shares her birthday with Christmas Day, is backed with a piece of the Wild Wheat Designer Series Paper from the Softly Stippled pack. I have stamped directly onto this sheet to add some Wild wheat leaves and text, all created using the Notes of Nature stamp set.

The left edge of the card is covered with a strip of some Pool Party-patterned paper from the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper pack, then the join is covered with some Pecan Pie Centre Strip Ribbon from the Stampin’ Up!® Meandering Meadows Suite.

On top of this is an arrangement of die-cut leaves, all created with the Notes of Nature bundle. Some are stamped in Lost Lagoon and die-cut, while others are die-cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock, Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, and Distressed Gold speciality paper.

The greeting panel is cut from Very Vanilla cardstock, with an edge created with the Notes of Nature dies, threaded with Linen Thread. I’ve stamped the greeting in Lost Lagoon, the postmark and grid elements in Wild Wheat, then added some extra ink around the edges with a Blending Brush.

Finally, I finished off with a brushed gold swallow from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds pack from the Meandering Meadows Suite.

My second card made with the new Notes of Nature bundle from Stampin’ Up!® is a pretty Calypso Coral thank you card.

Again I backed the card base with some Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, this time choosing a sheet in Calypso Coral and Wild Wheat.

This card is a CASE of a project from page 8 of the new Sale-a-Bration brochure; the page that features this Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, in fact. I love using the catalogue for inspiration and showing how you don't need the exact same products to create a beautiful project.

The project featured is a gift box but I turned it into a card and used the Notes of Nature bundle to create a floral arrangement in Calypso Coral, Wild Wheat, Smoky Slate and Distressed Gold.

The ribbon stapled at the top is from the Copper & Natural Ribbon Combo Pack, which I've just discovered has now sold out. But you could substitute with Copper Clay or Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon.

The greeting is stamped in Pebbled Path to pick up the colour of the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper; it creates a softer look than black, which is more in keeping with the subtle tones of this project.

I hope you like my Notes of Nature projects and are inspired to create your own. This bundle costs £45, which is exactly the amount you need to spend to earn the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper FREE during Sale-a-Bration.

Sale-a-Bration runs from Thursday 4th January through to the end of February. During that time you can earn FREE products every time you spend £45, extra Stampin’ Rewards when you host a party (or place an order!) of £275 or more, or extra gifts in your Starter Kit when you join my my Stampin’ Up!® team.
