Make sure you get your Sit Stay Relax stamp set from Stampin' Up!® before it retires

Have you seen the Sit Stay Relax stamp set from Stampin’ Up!®? It’s a host stamp set, and I often find these can be overlooked.

I love it because it features cats and dogs, and I hope you will do. I am showcasing a card made with this great set now because we know for sure that this set will retire at the end of April. A new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue in May means a new set of Stampin’ Rewards, so if this set is on your wish list, you need to make sure you earn it before then.

Yes I said “earn” it because you cannot order this stamp set in the usual manner; it’s only available as part of your Stampin’ Rewards.

Here are 3 ways you can earn this great stamp set:

  1. Host a Stampin’ Up!® party. If the combined total of all orders comes to £150 or more, you as the host earn free products (Stampin’ Rewards) and can choose this set as part of those.
  2. Don’t want a Stampin’ Up!® party? Gather orders from friends and if you can reach the magical £150, you still earn Stampin’ Rewards and can choose this set.
  3. Place a big order yourself (£150 or more) and choose this set as part of your Stampin’ Rewards.

I made this masculine card for a friend who has a beautiful whippet called Stanley. I tried to colour the dog to look as much like Stanley as possible, using my Stampin’ Blends.

Sit Stay Relax is a “Distinktive” Stampin’ Up!® stamp set, which means it has a special texture giving the images added depth and dimension in a single step. The textured stripes on the armchair are part of the stamp so all you need to do is add some simple shading, as I have done with my Old Olive Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.

Around the outside edge of the stamped image, I have added a pale blue shadow using a Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend. I find this really helps the image to pop out from the page.

I cut out the image using my Layering Circles Dies, backing the circle with a scalloped circle in Old Olive.

I confess here that the Designer Series Paper I have used is now retired; it was the Favored Flowers DSP from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. This was a pack of vibrant floral designs with much more subtle geometric patterns on the reverse. I do love this one which combines Mossy Meadow with Old Olive to create an almost glowing design.

The ribbon is actually Parakeet Party, an In Color™ for 2022-2024, but it comes out a little darker in this ribbon so goes perfectly with Old Olive.

The greeting is from Best Family Ever and is stamped on a label cut out with Seasonal Labels Dies.

Stampin’ Tip: Keep some spare die-cuts in Basic White cardstock ready to use as this will really speed up your crafting. I keep some in a box in my craft trolley, so can usually find something to fit a suitable image.

I hope you like my Sit Stay Relax card and are reminded to earn this stamp set while you can. We don’t know which stamps from the main Stampin’ Up!® Annual and January-April Mini Catalogues but we DO know that all host products will retire, so this is a very timely heads up!
