Christmas projects, to me, should be jolly and colourful and make people smile. Which is why I love the North Pole Delivery Suite from Stampin’ Up!®
It was the perfect choice for my Christmas Craft Day last week, where guests had the opportunity to make lots of fun Christmas cards and 3D projects using Stampin’ Up!® products.
My craft days are very relaxed. Everyone receives a set of tutorials to work through at their own pace, choosing the projects they like best and ignoring the ones they don’t fancy. No waiting for others to catch up!
Let’s walk through the projects of the day...
This pouch was inspired by Stampin’ Up!® Artisan Design Team Member Bree Renwick who made a similar project last Christmas.
I modified it slightly to make it smaller to hold a note card, a hot chocolate pouch, candy cane and (not pictured) a chocolate lollipop.
To keep this project simple, I used images from the North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper. This speciality pack has two sheets of laser-cut shapes which you can pop out to use on your projects. Perfect if you want an easy craft session with no stamping!
This little box is easy to make using the Jolly Delivery dies, which has a envelope die which just fits on a sheet of A5 cardstock, so you can get two from a full sheet of A4.
It’s not wide enough for a gift card but there are some hacks out there on the internet if you Google it, but I wanted to fill it with little gift tags, which of course you can make to any size to fit. You could also put in guest soaps or small bars of chocolate, if you wished.
The gift tags were so easy to make. Just a piece of white cardstock on the front, then decorated using some of the smaller shapes from North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper.
So far, stress free!
If you want to stress my regular crafters, give them a box to make! This cute little monogrammed box is based on a sample from the Stampin’ Up!® annual catalogue. I love those Party Alphabet Dies and am determined to use them at every available opportunity.
The box isn’t actually difficult to make – just make two trays the same size and the flexibility of the Designer Series Paper means it will fit over the cardstock base.
Before you assemble the lid, die-cut a monogram from the centre, then back it with a square of acetate or window sheet. Finish off with some of the lovely laser-cut shapes from North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper.
We did, of course, do some stamping, too, although the beauty of the North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper is that if you don’t have the coordinating Jolly Delivery stamp set, you can still make fun projects.
For this card, all the elements are stamped and coloured in using Stampin’ Blends, while the background is stamped using Pool Party ink on a Pool Party card base.
This is a simpler version of the same idea. You’ll note that I stamped on a separate piece of white – I did this because Stampin’ Blends are alcohol ink which shows through on the reverse side, which would spoil the effect of the clean white card.
This is another stamped card featuring lots of images from the Jolly Delivery stamp set, again coloured using Stampin’ Blends. I love the delivery cat and dog, and the tiny letters. And I love the subtle polka dot background which is simply a piece of North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper used to cover the whole of the card front.
Back to the North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper for this card, which is simply a collage of images on a die-cut label. “Special delivery” is stamped using the Jolly Delivery stamp set, but the rest is all from the paper, either laser-cut shapes or fussy cut.
This colourful shopping street was heavily inspired by my friend Julie at The Paper Haven & Co. My version is a pretty close copy with a few tweaks here and there.
Finally, this is another card made with North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper and minimal stamping. I love the golden labrador delivery and the colourful postbox background.
I hope you like my North Pole Delivery Suite cards and are inspired to make your own. If you work with A4 cardstock, you may be interested in a tutorial to make some of these projects, which is available for just £3 here:
