Important changes to Stampin’ Up!® products and packaging

Stampin up stamp packaging changes

This is not my normal type of post but I think it’s important to know as soon as possible about some changes coming to Stampin’ Up!® products. There are a lot happening at once so I have created some fact sheets to help you.

Cling stamps (red rubber)

The biggest shock is that Cling Stamps are being discontinued. These are our much-loved red rubber stamps.

The shock is that Stampin’ Up!® has always been committed to high quality red rubber, but times change and apparently the raw materials are getting more and more difficult to source.

As Stampin’ Up!® photopolymer stamps are very high quality, the decision has been made to switch to these entirely, and pre-empt the issue of a future materials shortage.

Stampin up cling rubber stamps discontinued

You may notice that there are very few cling (red rubber) stamps in the new September-December Mini Catalogue, so maybe this change won’t affect you much.

Going forward, all new Stampin’ Up!® stamps, from the release of the November Online Exclusives onwards, will be in high quality photopolymer.

Any existing catalogue stamps which are in red rubber will become Last Chance products in the final month of their respective catalogue and will not carry over. That means Annual Catalogue stamps will become Last Chance items in April 2026, and Sep-Dec Mini Catalogue stamps will become Last Chance items in December 2025.

Stamps and die packaging

With the transition to 100% photopolymer stamps, the packaging is changing too.

The current DVD case-style packaging is being discontinued. This is no longer needed if all stamps are photopolymer as they are slimmer than red rubber.

From the November Online Exclusives, all new stamps will be in new, slimmer packaging. This will be durable, clear envelopes very similar to the current die packaging. Artwork will be printed on the insert, so you can see what’s inside.

Here’s a sneak peek of a NOVEMBER Online Exclusive, which will come in the new, slimmer packaging. As you can see, the images are printed on the insert so you can see what’s inside.

The new packaging is much slimmer so will take up less space on your shelf. If you wish to see what you have from the front, I suggest making tabs to write on, which is what I do already with my dies.

Any existing stamps will gradually transition to the new packaging, so you may place an order and get a mix of packaging for a while.

Dies will be packaged in the same envelopes in the same size. The size is 14.3 x 22.9cm / 5⅝" x 9".

All dies released from November 2025 onwards will be in the new packaging. Any existing dies will remain in their current packaging until they are discontinued.

Do you like consistency?

I know lots of you like your Stampin’ Up!® supplies to look all nice and neat and uniform, so I am happy to share you have TWO options.

The DVD-style stamp cases known as Standard Stamp Cases (119105) will continue to be available to purchase as long as there is demand. So if you wish, you may purchase these and transfer any new stamps to them by printing your own inserts.

The new packaging will be available to purchase from November in packs of 10, so if you prefer, you can transfer all your existing stamps to the new packaging, to save space and keep things looking nice and neat!

Stampin’ Write Markers

Due to a lack of demand, all Stampin’ Write Markers are to be discontinued. These are the water-based markers with a bullet tip and a brush tip. Stampin’ Up!® has found that most customers now prefer Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers so these are staying.

This change is happening now!

From Wednesday 20th August 2025, Stampin’ Write Markers will be on the Last Chance list and only available while supplies last.

This includes the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. For fine-tip journalling, I suggest the Black .04 Journalling Pens, 3 pack (166647).

Phew! that’s a LOT of changes to take in, I realise. I also appreciate that you may not welcome some or all of the changes, and I hope you realise that these are business decisions which have not been taken lightly by Stampin’ Up!®.

Remember: We are creative people and, whether we like the changes or not, we WILL adapt!
