Christmas scrapbooking made simple

Christmas scrapbooking stampin up A Little Bit Festive Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack

With the launch of Stampin’ Up!®’s new Scrapbooking Brochure, srapping is very much back on the menu in this house and, very soon I hope, on my class schedule too. The new product range makes scrapbooking really simple.

The launch of the new Stampin’ Up!® range could not have come at a better time for me because the arrival of two great-nieces and a great-nephew is giving me ample photo opportunities.

I have a year of great-niece Lily to scrapbook so I’m starting there, and wanted to show you how this can be achieved very easily with just a few products.

For this double-page spread I used some Crumb Cake 12"x12" cardstock from my stash, along with A Little Bit Festive Designer Series Paper and Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack. This is without even touching the new Scrapbooking Brochure products as they were still in transit when I made these pages.

I’m a little rusty, scrapbooking-wise, so leaned heavily on the instructions from the Halloween Memories Scrapbooking Workshop kit in the Stampin’ Up!® Scrapbooking Brochure. But as I got into my stride, I went off-piste for the second page.

For this first page, I followed the design quite closely, using Christmas elements from A Little Bit Festive Designer Series Paper in place of bats, and adding some festive sentiments from Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack.

The gold stars all some from A Little Bit Festive Designer Series Paper. This has some great sheets of die-cuts which make all your Christmas projects – cards, scrapbook pages, gift tags etc – really really easy.

I particularly love the frames which simply pop out and turn your photos into great accents.

For the second page I used another sheet of 12x12 Crumb Cake cardstock from my stash, then covered the bottom half with some Christmas tree patterned paper from A Little Bit Festive Designer Series Paper, with a strip of red stripes from the same pack.

I have blurred the photo of the parents here as I haven't had time to seek their permission, although I do have permission to use Lily’s beautiful face.

Again, I decorated this page using fun festive elements from A Little Bit Festive Designer Series Paper, like this red truck carrying a Christmas tree...

... and this teddy bear which makes a great corner accent for a photo.

All the words come from Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack. There’s no stamping at all on these pages!

I hope this shows you that scrapbooking doesn’t have to be difficult – and you don’t need a huge amount of products. You could make similar pages using any of our Ephemera Packs, or our speciality Designer Series Papers with die-cut pages.

And of course if you want to make lots of pages on a theme, our new Scrapbooking Workshop Kits are perfect for you. More about those in the future – they have now arrived in the house but I haven’t had chance to craft with them yet.
