Easy projects using Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper (retiring soon)

Rain or Shine Stampin Up Designer Series Paper

Have you managed to get everything you want from the Stampin’ Up!® Last Chance sale? On your shopping list should definitely be this gorgeous Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper.

Rain or Shine Stampin Up Designer Series Paper

As I mentioned in an earlier post, this beautiful Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper is a great purchase if you love the fun animal images, but don’t quite love them enough to invest in a whole stamp set. It’s great if you just want to make a few quick cards, or have a play, as you can buy the paper for £14 and make lots of projects by cutting out the images. There’s no colouring, and they are partially glossy, giving them a really professional look.

I made this pig card using one of the images which isn’t available as a stamp – another great reason to buy the paper.

I lined the full card front using one of the rainy sheets – the raindrops are glossy, which makes them extra cool.

The square white layer is stamped using Balmy Blue ink on Basic White, then layered onto Old Olive and another layer of white.

I cut out the clouds from the paper and stamped "hello" from Artistically Inked.

For the second card, I used a Basic White Notecard & Envelope and again covered the whole front using Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper; this time a pretty floral design in Flirty Flamingo.

I stuck with the square theme and added three cut-out umbrellas. They didn't fill the space as I'd hoped so I stamped "Hey, there!" from Charming Sentiments to finish off.

I mounted the square onto Old Olive again and that was it. Easy – and barely any stamping required.

Using Designer Series Paper for images is perfect if you want a big variety at your fingertips but don’t have a big budget. If you’re on a really tight budget – or just love a bargain – may I recommend my Etsy store, where I have smaller packs of retired Designer Series Paper, in some cases with coordinating cardstock, so you’re ready to go, as well as some great retired stamp sets.

As for retiring products in the Last Chance sale in the main online store, these are only available while supplies last until 1st May, and are selling out all the time, so make sure you don’t delay if you don’t want to miss out.

Big shopping list? Did you know if you purchase the Starter Kit, it unlocks discounts all year round? PLUS, if you purchase during April 2023, you can add items from the new catalogue – which goes live to customers in May. You could even add a Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in beautiful Boho Blue!
