Today I have FIVE projects to show you, all using the new Stampin’ Up!® stamp set, Poised Peony.
Being floral, this is not my usual type of stamp set but I absolutely love the coordinating Frames & Flowers Speciality Designer Series Paper and this goes with it, so I have decided to base my Summer Craft Day on these products.

Frames & Flowers Speciality Designer Series Paper is beautiful... and makes crafting SO easy. The pack consists of three traditional double-sided sheets of Designer Series Paper plus three sheets of die-cut images, which you can simply pop out and use to make easy but stunning projects.
Everyone who attends my Summer Craft Day here in Derbyshire in July will get a full pack of this stunning paper to work with, ensuring a relaxing day of easy projects... which is just what my regular ladies want so they can chat while they craft.
This project is made using one of the floral wreaths from Frames & Flowers Speciality Designer Series Paper, decorated with more flowers and leaves and laid onto a strip of patterned paper from the same pack.
I’ve used a Petal Pink card base and stamped a greeting – Best birthday wishes – from the coordinating Poised Peony stamp set.
My second card uses a stamped image from Poised Peony as the focal point, with some die-cut leaves tucked behind.
The image is stamped in Early Espresso and coloured using small Stampin’ Up!® Blending Brushes and ink. I used Petal Pink and Calypso Coral for the flower head and Lost Lagoon for the leaves.
The backdrop of paper is also from Frames & Flowers Speciality Designer Series Paper, and it's finished off with a stamped image from Poised Peony, and a final tiny flower from Frames & Flowers Speciality Designer Series Paper.
For my Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue Launch Party, I couldn't use the Frames & Flowers Speciality Designer Series Paper, as there wasn’t enough of the same elements without buying multiple packs. Instead I stamped a flower in Mossy Meadow and coloured it in the same way again, this time using small Blending Brushes with Petunia Pop and Mossy Meadow ink pads.
I adapted this colour combination from one of my 50 new In Color™ combos. This combos mixes Petunia Pop, one of this year’s bright and almost acidic In Colors™, with Wild Wheat, one of last year’s muted earthy shades.
For this card I stamped the small peony in Basic Beige all over a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, which is mounted onto Mossy Meadow and then a Wild Wheat card base.
A strip of striped In Color™ Designer Series Paper on the left provides the setting for a punched greeting panel. This is punched with the Elegant Edge Tag Topper Punch, which also features on page 28 of the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue.
“Hello”, from Poised Peony, is stamped in Wild Wheat to finish off.
I confess that this year’s In Colors™ leave me a little cold as a group of five, but splitting them up to mix with existing colours may just have me falling in love. I do love this earthy combo of Petunia Pop, Basic Beige, Wild Wheat and Mossy Meadow.
Finally, I used the same stamp set and same design with some retired products for a monthly class I run for some WI ladies. Most of these ladies don't craft outside of this event so really don't care if products are retired, and this helps both to keep my costs down and use up my old stash.
The retired Texture Chic Memories & More Cards & Envelopes provide a lovely backdrop for this card.
As you can see, this is the same design as for the Catalogue Launch Make & Take. The main image is coloured using small Blending Brushes, this time in Peach Pie and Lost Lagoon and, instead of stamping all over with a small flower – which would have taken too long – I used some retired Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper to create a Petal Pink layer with a subtle pattern. Around the stem of the flower is some retired Petal Pink ribbon and, because the WI ladies like birthday cards, I used Keeping Tabs, another new stamp set, to stamp Happy Birthday.
The second WI card uses more retired Stampin’ Up!® Designer Series Paper – this time floral design from some Sale-a-Bration paper. I used my retired Stamparatus to stamp the flowers, turning the paper 180 degrees to get the second flower in a diagonally symmetrical pattern.
The retired Dandy Designs Petal Pink paper provides a layer here – the design is so subtle that works well in lieu of cardstock.
This time the flowers are coloured using a Petal Pink and Lost Lagoon ink pad with Blender Pens.
The ribbon is laid in a zigzag pattern across a strip of double-sided tape, and the card is finished off with a punched greeting, also stamped onto Dandy Designs Petal Pink paper. This is punched out using the new Labeled With Love Punch from page 58 of the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue.
This punch design is also available for the same price as a set of three identical dies. What a great innovation! I have customers who prefer punches for speed, and others who prefer dies because their hands won't work with punches, so everyone gets to choose here.
