Sparkly rainbows using Rainbow of Happiness bundle

Stampin Up UK Rainbow of Happiness

We all need more rainbows and glitz in our lives, don’t we? And I love the addition of this Summer Shimmer paper to create these subtle yet glamorous rainbows using the Rainbow of Happiness bundle from Stampin’ Up!®

These were created in my “white period”. Despite my love of dark and dirty colours, often return to cards which are largely white as I love their clean starkness which makes the colours pop out.

The Rainbow of Happiness bundle is so much fun. It’s not my usual style but I am so glad I ordered it as it has so many possibilities for your card making, scrapbooking and more.

This card has a really limited colour palette of Mint Macaron and Basic White. The Supple Shimmer paper is described as Iridescent Pool Party and Pink but I think it goes perfectly with Mint Macaron too.

I’ve dressed it up with some Mint Macaron raindrops and finished off with gorgeous tiny die-cut clouds.

The second card uses both colours of Supple Shimmer paper with just a single arc of Mint Macaron to create a fun pink and green rainbow.

Again I have kept it really simple with a fun greeting in black for contrast and with some more little popped-up clouds.

These cards are really easy to make with the Brilliant Rainbow dies which come as part of the Rainbow of Happiness bundle. What’s fun is you can die-cut the arcs of the rainbow in lots of colours then simply mix them up for some fun combinations. Don’t get hung up on the actual colours of a rainbow because there are only four arcs anyway. Whatever colours you use will look amazing.

For even faster cards you can stamp the rainbows too, using the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set – but I wanted the sparkle on these cards so used the Supple Shimmer paper instead. This comes in 12"x12" sheets and you get one of each colour, which will last for ages if you use it sparingly as I have done here.
