Mix It Up Monday: Two-tone Vintage Leaves

It’s Mix It Up Monday again, and time for another colour combination from my In Color Charts. I’m quite proud of myself for not having missed one yet but I fear this run may be coming to an end as next week a builder invasion is likely to curtail not only my stamping activity but access to my computer.

I picked a subtle combo of greens and blues this week, which I thought would be perfect for a Vintage Leaves card. I used my sponge daubers to create a two-tone look to the leaves, applying Cucumber Crush to the centre of the leaves and Lost Lagoon around the edges. Markers would do the same job but I’ve only just thought of that while typing. Anyway, sponge daubers are an excellent solution if precision isn’t vital and you don’t have the markers in the desired colours.

I love the white jute ribbon - it’s so versatile when you start taking it apart and using individual strands. And the greeting comes from the Tin of Cards stamp set – it’s not just for the kit!
