Caturday: Mr Winky becomes a builder

I thought those of you who know me in real life would like to see the progress on the building site that used to be our garden. As you can see, Mr Winky – today’s star of Caturday – has overcome his fear of bricks and is happy to investigate… as long as the builders have gone home, that is.

The cats are a little freaked out, as you can imagine. The doorway you can see which is now conveniently bricked up was their portal to the outside world at one point. As were the upstairs windows! Now there is no roof to jump down onto so defenestration has gone out of the window, so to speak.

Building progress has come on apace since this photo was taken on Thursday evening. The builders are even here right now; can’t fault their work ethic!

  1. You get ten million extra cool bonus points for using the word defenestration. Hope your construction project is finished soon!

    1. Thanks! It's a lovely word, which unfortunately is very difficult to weave into conversation

  2. Those of us who know you in imaginary life enjoy seeing the progress, too - as well as seeing Mr Winky! :)

    1. Thanks - it's good to look back and see how far we've come in the past week. The walls are nearly full height all the way round now.
