Mix It Up Monday: In Colors and circles

So I was in the shower, thinking about Stampin’ Up!® colours (I know you do this too, don’t you? It IS normal, right?) and my mind wandered to all those lovely colour combinations I’d created and how this time I’d pledged to start using them instead of just looking at them.

And I decided that if I wanted to make myself use these combos, I needed a routine. Hence the introduction of Mix It Up Monday. Each (most? some?) Monday I will post a project made with one of my oh so fabulous colour combinations, using at least one of the 2015-17 In Colours. There are 45 combinations in total - nine for each colour - so that gives me the year I’d allocated, allowing for unforeseen circumstances such as natural disaster or me forgetting.

So here’s the first Mix It Up Monday, featuring my second combination from the charts (you can see the first one here).

I’ve used the new stamp set I Think You’re Great, which is really fun and funky. And yes, I’m contrary. Give me a circle-based design and I will still cut my stamped circle image into rectangles. I just don’t like being told what to do!

Off-topic but aren’t those thrift flowers gorgeous in the background? I’ve not cropped them too much because I love looking at them and I’m sad because, in a few weeks’ time, they will have to be dug up to make way for our house extension. They were purchased as two or three small plants many years ago after a holiday on the Welsh coast where they were growing wild. Over the years they have spread into quite a spectacular display, so I do hope they can be salvaged.
