For the men in your life...

Saturday morning was my Masculine Cards Workshop attended by 10 eager stampers. We were there to make four cards suitable to be sent to men – for Father’s Day, birthdays, thank yous etc. I try to provide a variety of greetings so that people can choose the occasion.

Here are two of the cards we made. The stars one, below, doesn’t deserve its own post as it’s almost identical to the invite I showed you a few days ago. For the recipe, click here.

For the beer tankard card, I thought it would be fun to do a little bit of paper piecing. For this, we stamped the image twice – once on the Whisper White cardstock and then again on So Saffron. Then we cut out the body of the tankard from So Saffron and placed it on top of the image. I suppose we could have stamped the main image on something like Creamy Caramel, then pieced a piece of white on top, too... but we didn’t, clearly!

Stamps: Cheers to You
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Scallop Square Punch, Linen Thread

  2. Very nice. I like how you used a square scallop punch piece of cardstock - it resembles the froth on the beer! CC
