When I get a new Stampin’ Up!® catalogue, I like to look for ways I can combine the old with the new. The new Under the Moon stamp set opens up a world of possibilities and one of the ways I wanted to use it is with a floral stamp set.
As the Painted Lavender stamp set has carried over, I thought it would go perfectly – and, it does!
For these simple thank you cards I stamped the moon in Basic Beige – a fabulous new Stampin’ Up!® colour – then added some flowers in Petunia Pop, on of this year’s new In Color™ releases from Stampin’ Up!®.

The paler stems are stamped off onto cardstock first. I did the same with Lost Lagoon for the leaves.
Thank you is stamped in Gorgeous Grape because I had a mid-way change of direction and decided that Petunia Pop would give the flowers a hollyhock vibe.
I used Painted Lavender in an online class recently, too. Who would have thought that four years after lockdown began, I would still be holding online classes? But they are still fun and relaxing so here we are.
Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper and the coordinating Paper Butterfly Accents have both carried over into the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue and were the perfect basis for an online class.
We made this fancy fold card using the butterfly as the main accent. The card fronts are covered with Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, with the right hand flap cut at jaunty angle. I do like a jaunty angle.
The main accent is a punched circle stamped with some subtle foliage and flowers from Painted Lavender - all stamped off to make it pale. The greeting is stamped on top in Gorgeous Grape to stand out and it’s finished with a large paper butterfly, coloured using a sponge dauber and some Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape ink. I used a sponge dauber rather than a blending brush because these Paper Butterfly Accents are very delicate and I feared they would tear.
This is mounted onto a piece of Natural Polka Dot trim (and online exclusive from Stampin’ Up!®) which acts as a belly band.
I made two versions of this Perennial Lavender card – one before the class and one during the class – changing up the Designer Series Paper for variety.
For a change, I made another card using Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, sticking to a green and natural theme. This meant that crafters in the class had the option to omit the butterfly to make a masculine card.
I cut the green leafy design into three equal strips and arranged them on the Crumb Cake before adding a greeting stamped with Sweetly Scripted – one of my favourite Stampin’ Up!® Online Exclusives ever – mounted onto some Shaded Spruce cardstock.
But, as I love variety, I made another version using floral paper too, still from the Perennial Lavender pack. This is a really great versatile pack of paper.
