Let’s Go Shopping card ideas with Copper Clay colour combo

Do you love to shop? You know, in actual bricks and mortar shops where you can browse and make impulse purchases? I don’t visit actual shops as much as I used to but I do love to visit book shops... and cake shops... so the Les Shoppes Suite from the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue really spoke to me.

The whole Suite is gorgeous but so far I only have the Let’s Go Shopping bundle (I forgot to order Les Shoppes Designer Series Paper – doh!) so I’ve been having fun creating cards with that.

My first card is an homage to one of my favourite book shops in Derbyshire; Scarthin Books in Cromford. It’s a three-storey bookshop packed with books – largely second-hand but some new – on every topic you can imagine.

The Let’s Go Shopping stamps enable you to stack up the floors to create buildings as tall as your paper will allow. The coordinating Let’s Go Shopping dies cut out the windows so you can stack your shelves with books (or cakes). It’s a really beautiful and versatile stamp set.

I coloured the images using one of my own Stampin’ Up!® colour combinations: Copper Clay, Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party.

I used the same colour combination for my second Let’s Go Shopping card, keeping things a little simpler with a white card base coloured with a splash of Parakeet Party, added with a Blending Brush.

I die-cut the shop from Petal Pink cardstock and added a Sweet Sorbet canopy. Copper Clay comes into the mix in the architectural accents, the noticeboard and on the cakes. I picked up the Parakeet Party again in the foliage hanging down over the door, and in a hint on the noticeboard.

For no reason whatsoever other than I liked the shape of the sentiment, I stamped “Good Luck” on this card. I’m sure someone will be needing some luck some time soon.

I didn’t have a particular cake shop in mind when I made this Let’s Go Shopping card, but it does remind me a little of The Apple Pie Shop in Ambleside; one of my very favourite haunts.

I love both of these cards and can see myself using this fabulous Stampin’ Up!® bundle many more times, especially when my new Les Shoppes Designer Series Paper arrives later this week. Yes, I’m pleased to say I remembered to order in the end!

Does your wish list come to more than £99? Please get in touch and I will help you get more for your money and unlock discounts all year round.
