The Stampin’ Up!® Last Chance Sale begins today and there are some beautiful products available, some at amazing discounts.
Today I have four cards to show you using some of the fantastic retiring Stampin’ Up!® products which by happy coincidence are all reduced in price. This does mean that they are likely to sell out fast, so please don’t delay. And if you shop with me, I will give you a £10 voucher for every £10 you spend in April. You can use this voucher on my retired items in May.
For quick reference, here are the four main Stampin’ Up!® products I have used on today’s projects:
Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards and coordinating cards and envelopes, both now available at 30% discount.
In the Moment stamp set – an even bigger bargain! Grab this beautiful and incredibly popular set at at 60% discount while supplies last.
Charming Sentiments is a greeting stamp set which I have used over and over again. It’s now available at 50% discount.
And now the projects...
This card was made specially for a friend who loves dogs, retro patterns and reading in bed. I’ve used In the Moment Stampin’ Up!® stamp set so much since it was released because it’s perfect for all the women in your life. It’s coloured here using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.
Rather than die-cut a circle of cardstock to stamp on, I cut the circle out of the patterned Sweet Thoughts Memories & More card. This way I have the circle to use on another project at a later date. Sadly that didn’t happy in this craft session as I kept getting distracted by all the other fun elements in the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More cards.
I trimmed the floral card slightly to accommodate a Pretty Peacock layer before mounting onto a patterned card from the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More cards and envelopes.
For the greeting, I used two of the stickers from the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More cards. And it’s finished off with some Stampin’ Up!® ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack (161318), now available at 20% off.
Inside (not shown), I stamped a greeting using Charming Sentiments, one of my favourite Stampin’ Up!® greeting stamp sets ever.
I’ve used Charming Sentiments again on this fun card, which is ideal for just checking in with a friend.
I cut a white panel and added the floral paintbrush sticker on top. I popped this up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here’s a tip if you want to pop up a sticker, because if you’re not careful, the sticky edges will flatten down and stick to your card.
What I do is add my Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and then, before removing the backings, I go over the sticky back using my Stampin’ Up!® embossing buddy. This useful tool is now retired but you can achieve the same effect with a little talc or cornflour on your finger.
At the bottom of the white panel I added a strip of stripes, which was an offcut from a Sweet Thoughts Memories & More card which I used on the next card I’ll show you.
The horizontal strip is another piece of Sweet Thoughts Memories & More card which was in front of me and saved walking to the craft room to get some more Pretty Peacock cardstock.
Finally, I stamped “Hey there!” using Charming Sentiments.
My third Sweet Thoughts project is for an incredible friend who has done something amazing for her husband; donated one of her kidneys. Words can’t express my admiration for her, but this card is a start.
This time I added some die-cutting; I cut into one of the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More cards using Notes of Nature dies. I’m sad that these fabulous dies haven’t stuck around for very long. They are retiring but are not reduced in price. I used the dies to create the leaves from the typed card, and to add a notebook element to the top of the greeting panel, which I then tied with linen thread (thankfully NOT retiring!).
All the other elements are from the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More card sticker sheets, apart from the embellishments, which I found in my stash.
Finally, this butterfly card was CASED from US demonstrator Carol Buckalew.
I changed the background card to the Pretty Peacock one and switched up a couple of floral elements but stuck largely to her version as it’s so lovely as it is.
I hope you are inspired by my Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards projects. Remember if you want to purchase these, the coordinating cards & envelopes, In the Moment or Charming Sentiments stamp set, or indeed any retiring Stampin’ Up!® products, please do so as soon as possible, as reduced items in particular always sell out fast.
And don’t forget, if you’re in the UK and purchase Stampin’ Up!® products from me during April, you’ll get vouchers to spend on my retired Stampin’ Up!® stash next month. For the record, Charming Sentiments will not be going into my retired sale as I will continue to make it available for use in my in-person classes.
