It’s retiring time! Stampin’ Up!® is having a massive clearout of the
warehouse to make way for brand new craft products! This means hundreds
of products – stamp sets, punches, dies, papers, ink pads, ribbons,
embellishments and more – are on the last chance list, many of them
reduced by up to 50%.
As there has been no crafting for me this
past week because yep, Covid got to me (thankfully, the jabs did their
job of keeping the worst of it at bay), I have a 10 projects here from
the Stampin’ Up!® designers, all using stamp sets which are retiring.
I have all of these sets so beneath each SU sample are four of my own, some never before seen on this blog. Note that these will feature retired papers etc as they were made over the past few years. It was fun taking a trip down memory lane and remembering fun craft events with friends.
Tasteful Touches
Tasteful Touches is such
a gorgeous Stampin’ Up!® stamp set. I only ordered it because I wanted the Tasteful
Labels dies and it seemed daft to have one without the other, and I
ended up using it loads and loads. I’ve used the Tasteful Labels dies
even more – both are on the retiring list.
See what I’ve made with this set here....
Free as a Bird
I love birds and am quite obsessive about the visitors to our bird feeders. Last weekend we had a brambling for the first time! My customers are used to be shouting out birds as I see them during our Zoom classes, as I position my desk next to the French windows for maximum light. I do promise only to shout out the most interesting ones.
For this reason I am sad to see Free as a Bird fly away, although it has had a good innings!
I loved using this stamp set over the years, as you can see...
Ornate Thanks
I confess this wasn’t really my cup of tea but it was an early release one year which I felt I should have. Naturally I soon realised just how versatile this set is; ideal for adding thank yous for all occasions.
Here are some of my samples made with this useful stamp set...
Sweet as a Peach
Bit of a Marmite set, this one – customers either loved it or hated it. I loved it! Happily, as it came with flowers AND fruit, when I ran classes with this set, it meant they had a choice.
This is what I made...
Nature’s Beauty
Another long-serving stamp set which has seen a LOT of ink in this house. Initially released as a fund-raising stamp set, this one has proved extremely popular with my nature-loving customers (which is most of them!).
It was hard to narrow my samples down to just four for this image...
Sailing Home
This has been really popular as it's so useful for masculine cards. I do love anything nautical so was glad when this one came along.
Take a look at some of my designs here...
Wild Cats
If I’m honest, I knew this set wouldn’t last long as it’s a bit too niche for the vast majority of customers. However, I loved it and I have one customers who loved it as much as I do too.
Check out some of my cards made with Wild Cats...
Sweet Strawberry
This was a really popular set with good reason. Everyone loved those strawberries (not sure why the peaches didn’t have the same appeal?). The colours are just so summery, too, so grab it before it goes!
These are some cards we made in a class last year...
Timeless Tropical
Timeless Tropical was the theme of the last in-person class I held in March 2020 before lockdown began. So I feel sad to wave goodbye to this set because it feels like everything since then has felt a bit unreal. But off it goes.
These are some of the projects we made at that class back in the Before Times...
Enjoy the Moment
I love this set but accept it’s not for everyone, especially when we have other nature-themed sets which are a little more mainstream. But those seed heads are gorgeous. Take a look...
I hope you have enjoyed my tour of just a few of the very many retiring stamp sets which are leaving us this spring 2022. I love that Stampin’ Up!® gives us fair warning so we can grab any favourites before they go... and I don’t really feel too sad when they retire as I know there are so many more fantastic new products just around the corner.
If you are in the UK and would like to order any of these sets, please remember they are only available while supplies last. You can order any remaining products from my store, if you use the March host code UDVDUXFH, I’ll send you a thank you gift in April. 🇺🇦 PLUS: I will donate 10% of your March order total (excluding shipping) to the British Red Cross Ukrainian Crisis Appeal.
