Four simple cards in one using Autumn to Remember Stampin’ Up!® stamp set

Sometimes life demands you keep things simple – and these cards made with the Stampin’ Up!® stamp set Autumn to Remember definitely fall into the simple category.

All I have used is the Autumn to Remember stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up!® Scrapbooking Brochure, four ink pads and some cardstock.

Autumn to Remember is a lovely stamp set designed for scrapbooking but of course you can use it for so much more.

It coordinates with the fabulous Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Workshop Kit which I also have but am saving for a day when I need a self-contained craft projects.

It’s perfect for September projects when, here in the northern hemisphere at least, the leaves are turning brown and creating a kaleidoscope of gorgeous rich colours.

This four-in-one cardmaking project is a variation on a one-sheet wonder, with a lot less stamping, which makes it quicker to produce. It’s perfect when you need a batch of simple cards in a hurry.

Just as I did for these projects, I began by marking a piece of A4 cardstock – in this case, Very Vanilla –down the centre in both directions, to create four quarters. You can do this with a pencil or by scoring. Can’t find a pencil? You can even do it with a pen if you like because you’re going to cut the line away in the end.

Next I stamped along these lines to create four sections, each with a stamped border. I used all the leaf stamps from Autumn to Remember in four Stampin’ Up!® colours: Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat, Calypso Coral and Cherry Cobbler.

For this simple four-in-one cardmaking project, you can stamp as much or as little as you like. In the end I used the technique of stamping along the two lines merely as a starting point.

After stamping a few leaves along these lines, I cut my sheet into four to inspect my progress. I then added a lot more Autumn to Remember leaves to fill in any gaps.

I trimmed each quarter to just smaller than my card front, then added a greeting; Just a Note from Musical Jamboree. I did this because I am in need of note cards for any occasion and I’m always happy to swap out greetings to make my cards more useful.

I mounted two of the Autumn to Remember quarters directly onto a Moody Mauve card base.

The other two I trimmed a little smaller and mounted onto a Cherry Cobbler mat before sticking to a Wild Wheat card base.

I love these subdued – some would say “dirty” – colours from last year’s Stampin’ Up!® In Color™ range and think they are perfect for autumn.

The colour combination was inspired by this photo I found. I post a Stampin’ Up!® colour combination on my Facebook and Instagram pages every Sunday evening to inspire you for the week.
