Box of Sunshine Paper Pumpkin Kit alternative projects

Box of Sunshine Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Always late to the party but I wanted to show you just how much you get in the Box of Sunshine Paper Pumpkin Kit. This is currently still available in the UK, but only while supplies last.

Who would benefit from this kit?

✂️ Brand new crafters: just remember to add a clear block; everything else is included
✂️ Anyone with limited supplies as it all co-ordinates
✂️ Anyone short of space as it all fits in the pretty keepsake box
✂️ Holidaymakers: take a kit with you for those quiet/rainy moments
✂️ Young crafters: it’s a great way to craft with your kids as you get two of each projects
✂️ Crafters in a hurry: you know, when there’s no time to design projects or mess around with complicated techniques
✂️ Christmas gifts (or any time of the year gifts): Who wouldn’t want to receive one of these?
✂️ Demonstrators: This is a great way to run a distance craft session over Zoom or similar.

I’ve been making up the Box of Sunshine kit in short lunchtime sessions with a group ladies over Zoom over the past few weeks and we soon realised we would have loads of supplies left over. In our last session, last week, we all freestyled and made alternative projects using the supplies.

The top picture shows you two of the designs made up according to the instructions (two lemons, one pineapple), with two variations.

Afterwards I had loads of leftover lemons so rustled up a bookmark and a gift tag in a matter of minutes. For these I cut my Whisper White cardstock to 5cm (2") wide and punched the tops using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch, then brayered it in Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Parade. Then I splashed it with clean water and allowed it to dry. I didn’t add the sequins to the bookmark as I thought it could make it stick to the pages but the gift tag was blinged up with leftovers from the kit

STILL some leftovers, so I took a couple of Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes and coloured them yellow by mixing some Daffodil Delight ink with alcohol and spraying it with a Stampin’ Spritzer

Spray before assembling the boxes. Use masking tape on the shiny side of the box to cover the areas where the little pieces pop out as these can cause ink to seep through to the inside.

Almost fill your Stampin’ Spritzer with alcohol (you can buy this on eBay) and add around 25 drops of ink. Be aware that this ratio may vary for darker colours. You should be able to spray two boxes from one full spritzer.

I decorated the boxes with the addition of some Forever Gold Laser-Cut Speciality Paper and some Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon. The boxes are now filled with yellow flower bulbs and ready to go to people who need some sunshine in their lives.

Finally, some little cards to go inside the boxes. Wish I’d decorated these with lemons, too because guess what? When I was tidying up, I found some leftovers...
