Mix It Up Monday with Vintage Leaves

I’m back in time for Mix It Up Monday … although I confess that my Mojo hasn’t yet returned from its holiday. But I forced myself to do some stamping and created this with another colour combo from my In Color charts. This is a Z-fold card with a bit of a difference; the leaves are stacked to create the front layer, which involves strategic placing of adhesive (and a lot of swearing when it goes wrong), then quite a bit of patience while you allow the glue to dry and some careful use of the adhesive remover. Well, that’s the sort of thing that could happen with a project like this; mine went perfectly, of course…

I am loving these Vintage Leaves and matching Framelits dies; they are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for masculine cards, autumnal projects and home décor.

I did have some fun creating the stamped panels; the front one is sponged with Delightful Dijon and Tip Top Taupe, then stamped (off) with Dijon leaves and Island Indigo speckles. The inside panel is a little less intense, sponged lightly around the edges in Tip Top Taupe and stamped (off) with Dijon leaves. Both are edged with a hint of Early Espresso.

Finally, welcome back to all my customers, downlines and friends who spent the past week at Peak 2015, the huge Scout and Guide camp at Chatsworth. Hope you all had a fantastic time and aren’t too exhausted; and a big thank you for giving up your free time for the the Scouting/Guiding cause.
