Barnyard Babies ... and a yellow cow?

Cards don’t come much more simple than this but when you have 22 to make, some corners need to be cut. This is the first batch of thank you cards for my husband to send to his pupils who bought him an end-of-term present.

I made a variety of designs, simply to keep myself from getting bored and, in normal circumstances, I’d show you all of them in one go. But sorry folks, I am going to spread them out over the next few days/weeks, in the vain hope of trying to keep my blog together when the builders invade our house in a week or so.  Next week we should have a roof on our new extension, which is very exciting… but it does mean that the adjoining wall is now on borrowed time and the invasion will soon begin.

This stamp set is called Barnyard Babies and it’s very cute indeed. I am a sucker for goats and donkeys, so couldn’t resist this set. Here, as you can see, I’ve used the cow image - I love the look of bliss on her face.

And why shouldn’t I colour the cow in yellow? It’s perfectly reasonable colour for a cow, surely? I used my ink pad lids as a paint palette, with a paintbrush, which is my preferred way of colouring, although the Aqua Painters are excellent for this, too.
