You Little Furball Around the World sketch challenge
Well here’s an exciting announcement. I am the new UK representative on the Around the World Stampin’ Up!® Challenges blog! This is a fabulous blog run by a group of SU demonstrators to celebrate the company’s expansion worldwide so I was very honoured to be asked to contribute. The design team is made up of one demonstrator from each country (with an extra one for the Spanish market in the USA and the French market in Canada). There are two challenges per month and everyone can take part, demonstrator or not.
My brief is to provide a project for the challenge which is posted on the 15th of each month (today!). The first challenge for me was a sketch and here is my project, using You Little Furball. You can see the sketch, and other demonstrators’ interpretations of it, at the Around the World blog.
I flipped the sketch (unintentionally, it just happened that way) and tilted the main element so that I didn’t cover too much of the cat. This is a small card made from one of our Note Cards & Envelopes, as I didn’t want to overwhelm the little kitty. The greeting is stamped on vellum - be sure to use Stazon for this, rather than Memento ink, which takes longer to dry and is more prone to smudging. Ask me how I know!
Now go and see what the rest of the team came up with - and why not have a go yourself? The challenges are open to everyone!

ReplyDeletelove this great idea x
ReplyDeleteHelen, what a wonderful card! Admittedly I love cats, but the card is great beyond the adorable kitty peeking out the damaged (wall?). Everything works so well together: the colours, kitty with fish, even the main element being askew. Love it!
