Before I show you, though, I want to share some exciting
news; when the October issue of Papercraft Inspirations comes out today, my
blog will be featured! It’s the first time I’ve ever had one of my cards in a
national magazine so I’m pretty chuffed, to be honest. So a warm welcome to
anyone who has found my blog through the magazine.
Now the card – and it’s a Christmas one using the new
Scentsational Season bundle from the new Autumn/Winter catalogue, which goes live on Saturday. I enclosed one of these with each of the
catalogues I sent out to my Virtual Hostess Club members. They are only card
fronts (still guarding my new In Color™ cardstock very carefully!) and I fully
intended to write on the front, postcard-style. But, when the time came, I just
couldn’t do it. I didn’t want my scruffy handwriting ruining the cards... and I
thought the recipients could recycle the card fronts by mounting them onto a
full-sized card base, if they wished.
The strips of paper are from a gorgeous new pack of DSP –
and every piece shown is from the same sheet. Well, you didn’t think I’d be
cutting into more than one sheet just yet, did you?
Stamps: Scentsational
Season
Cardstock: Gumball Green,
Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White (some of it is textured, just using what I have)
Ink: Gumball Green
Accessories: Big
Shot, Holiday Collection Framelits Dies

Want another sneak peek? I bet you do – although from my
comment count lately, it’s almost as if nobody is looking (hint, hint!).

Ok, I'll comment, .... thanks for my catty and I have to say I'm a bit unsure about the new colours (may need to see them for real and see some samples) though I'll probably warm to them. To be honest I am a bit disappointed with the new stuff - there's so much in it that's just not me and can honestly say there's only a couple of things that I really like and feel are worth investing in. The Halloween stuff is really cute but in this country we're a long way behind the states for celebrating this occasion sadly.
ReplyDeleteI do like your samples though and I am looking forward to the next big catty. ;)
Ooh I like these little cards you made - simple but very nice! Big CONGRATS on your publication too!! VERY exciting!!
ReplyDeleteGot my catalogue too and loved it. Corry and I particularly liked your card and were very excitedly looking through the catalogue to work out what you had used. Just need to put our orders in now - soo exciting
ReplyDeletewell done - your sneak previews are great - hope you had a great holiday in Brittany best wishes Lesley x
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! That's fantastic! Love the little card fronts too! Great idea!
