Embossed book

Embossing is so much easier on smooth cardstock – the Kraft cover on this little book from Paperchase is very rough, which made it really hard to minimise speckles. Still, nothing ventured...

Stamps: Circle Circus
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Black gingham ribbon, Black embossing powder, heat tool

  2. very cute little covered notebook! I love embossing too but agree that a kraft surface shows the black speckles like nothing else! If you don't have an embossing buddy, I would suggest trying it out as it REALLY helps keep the stray particles from sticking. I did class project on kraft paper using embossing with black powder once and stressed that people should use the embossing buddy....but of course a few forgot and that was the best thing ever to point out how well the buddy works! lol! I think most everyone who ever plans to emboss bought the embossing buddy at that class.

Love your blog...how cool that you are one of the first UK demos!!! I saw your blog url on a SCS forum post about using a blog and had to come check it out. I agree that I would far rather have moderated comments than having to input the secret number/letter combo to prove you are humanoid! lol! Jan Hoyt
