Flying the flag for crafters everywhere


Did you enjoy the Bank Holiday? We were away for the weekend, visiting friends in Oxfordshire. They have two cats, so we could collect some more photos for Caturdays of the future!

Next Bank Holiday is, of course, the Jubilee weekend, which brings me almost too neatly to today’s projects. Having a really busy April, I recently called on my talented friend, Kelly, to help me make some samples for my Summer Mini Catalogue launch. The flag is one of her inspired creations – I love the patchwork effect using the Twitterpated papers.


This, in turn, inspired me to start creating projects on a Jubilee theme, and I came up with this bunting. It’s not the best picture in the world but it looked great draped across my samples table.

That led on to the ill-fated blue cupcakes. But that’s another story...

NB: The blue in this Twitterpated paper is Island Indigo but I had completely run out so used Not Quite Navy. It works quite well as a substitute and I like the vintage patriotic feel.
