Fresh and fruity

Here’s another way to use those scraps – only this time it’s the ribbon stash that gets a clearout. I’m sure people roll their eyes when they see me saving the tiniest pieces of ribbon but here’s my “I told you I’d use them!” card! The pieces don’t even have to be long enough to go all the way behind the image – you can join them behind the green panel. Remember one of my many stamping mottos: if you can’t see it, it’s not there.

I used the Poppin’ Pastels technique on this card – stamp in Versamark® then use chalks on top to see those colours pop! This of course makes lining the images up with the Stamp-a-ma-jig® fun because if you stamp with Versamark on the SAMJ sheet, you can’t see it. And if you stamp it on the sheet in a colour, you have to make sure you clean the stamp really well before you use it on your Versamark pad. In the end I stamped on the sheet in Versamark and then added chalk in a dark colour (yellow doesn’t show up, by the way) to use for positioning.

See that dot next to the words? I dropped the stamp. Oops.
